Specialist Oral Surgeon and Practice Principle

Mr Curran Qualified from Queens University in 1980. He worked in hospital, training in oral surgery for a six years before opening his specialist oral surgery practice in 1987. The practice has moved twice prior to its present position. Mr Curran is the proprietor, principle and manager of the practice.

Ms O’Brien qualified from Glasgow University in 1998. She spent a number of years in hospital training in Oral surgery before joining Mr Curran at Curran Oral Surgery in 2004.

Ms Nicola O’Kane BDS.

Job Title: Dentist with specialist interest in Oral Surgery.

Ms O’Kane qualified from Queens University in 2007. She completed her vocational training and has been working in general dentistry. She has spent a number of years training in oral surgery and joined Mr Curran at Curran Oral Surgery in 2017. Nicola has now gained her Diploma in Oral Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in England.

Ms Claire Curran BDS.

Job Title: Dentist with specialist interest in Oral Surgery.

Ms Curran qualified from Glasgow University in 2011. She then spent a number of years working in Scotland and Australia with a specialist interest in oral surgery. Claire has now gained her Diploma in Oral Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in England. She joined Mr Curran at Curran Oral Surgery in 2018.

Dr Colin Petherick BDS, FDS, MB BCh, Dip Con Sed.

Job Title: Specialist Oral Surgeon

Dr Petherick qualified from Queens University in 1983. He then returned to Queens to complete his medical degree and qualified in 1994. Prior to and during his medical studies spent a number of years in hospital training in Oral surgery and joined Mr Curran at Curran Oral Surgery in 1994.

Job Title: Senior Dental Nurse/Practice Manager.

Helen qualified as a nurse in 1987 gaining both the National and RVH qualifications. She joined Mr Curran at Curran Oral Surgery in 1993. Since then she has attained qualifications in conscious sedation, radiography, practice management and dental reception.

Job Title: Dental Nurse.

GDC No: 197367

Nicola qualified as a nurse gaining her national exam in 2004. She joined Mr Curran at Curran Oral Surgery in 2012. She then gained qualifications in conscious sedation and radiography. Nicola left to gain more experience in Australia and re-joined Curran Oral Surgery in 2016.

Maureen attained a wealth of administrating and reception qualifications from 1994 onwards after completing her A-levels. She joined Curran Oral Surgery in 1995.
